Stepping Alongside PT. Yodya Karya: An Unforgettable Internship Experience

Hello, my name is Samuel Evan Prasetia, but you can call me Evan.I studied at SMKN 4 Semarang, majoring in DPIB (Desain Permodelan Informasi Bangunan). Currently, I am participating in an internship for six months, starting from last July until the end of December. I am currently interning at PT. Yodya Karya in Semarang. PT. Yodya Karya is a state-owned enterprise engaged in building consulting and planning.

PT.Yodya Karya is located at Jl. Sriwijaya No.41, Tegalsari, Candisari, Semarang, in front of the Superindo Sriwijaya supermarket.In addition to working in the office, for the past two months, I have also been involved in a construction project directly managed by PT. Yodya Karya. In this project, PT. Yodya Karya serves as the Project Manager responsible for managing and overseeing the project from the initial stages of construction to the final finishing touches.The GSG UNDIP building will be used for various events, including university graduation ceremonies, culinary sales due to the presence of a food court, and various other events, as the multipurpose building is available for rent.

Throughout the six months of my internship, I have gained a wealth of knowledge and experience. In the office, I learned the principles of 2D drawing using AutoCAD, 3D modeling with SketchUp & Revit, and proper rendering techniques. All drawings adhere to the company's standards. In contrast to the office environment, during the project I gained practical knowledge directly. I have the opportunity to see many of the objects I draw in real life in front of me. Wow! So fabulous! During the project, I was also assigned to supervise the progress of construction, this was very useful for me, I knew how the construction process went from start to finish.

I feel very happy and grateful for the opportunity to intern at PT. Yodya Karya Semarang. The company's director was kind enough to allow me to undertake my internship here. All the mentors and staff have been very friendly in guiding internship students. Additionally, I have made many friends, not only from my cohort but also from those currently pursuing higher education. It has truly been an extraordinary experience to have the opportunity to intern at PT. Yodya Karya.
