1. Definition

Survey is an activity or research activity carried out to obtain certain information (such as: the number of people, certain perceptions or messages), by taking a sample from one population and using a questionnaire as the main data collection tool.

2. Function

Surveys really function in our daily lives. We can find tables in various aspects such as education and even offices. The functions of the table below are as follows:

1) To obtain facts from existing phenomena;

2) Seeking factual information from a group, area, etc.;

3) Evaluate and compare things that have been done by other people in dealing with similar matters;

4) Conducted on a number of individuals/units either by census or by sample; and

5) The results are for planning and decision making
